Aiming to be a “10 Billion Yen Company in 100 Years”, While Striving to Stay True to Our Core Principles.

Playing an important role inour customers' supply chains.

SHINANOA Co., Ltd. was established in 1948, when we began our business by selling paint. We then moved into the coating and surface treatment business, where we accumulated a wealth of technology and extensive know-how on coatings. It is the coating process that significantly affects the beauty and quality of the products that come from manufacturing plants. Managing this process is nothing less than playing an important role in our customers' supply chains in the manufacturing industry. We are committed to improving our expertise so that customers can leave coating work and coating consulting work safely in our hands.
Moreover, leveraging our relationships with an extensive network of coating manufacturers, and coming up with coating work proposals tailored to the needs of our customers is where our strength as an independent trading company lies. We are able to provide our customers with custom-designed proposals by coordinating optimum coatings and coating equipment from the diverse selections at our disposal. Through our three core businesses of “coating sales”, “equipment engineering”, and “coating business”, being able to come up with comprehensive solutions to coating related issues is where SHINANOA’s value as a specialist trading company lies.

Human relations are the birthplace of business opportunity.

SHINANOA was founded by my grandfather in Nagoya City. My grandparents told me that their business began as a small store with only a few employees. Since then, SHINANOA has gradually expanded its business, and has continued to grow while building strong relationships between our customers and suppliers. And the key to this sustained growth over 70 years has been our well-known management policy of “putting the customer first”. We work tirelessly to meet the needs of our customers, and will throw our pride to the wind to tackle any issues our customers may face. This mindset is built into our very DNA, and is firmly rooted in our employees today.
Growing steadily within our network of relationships is our job. Trading companies would be nothing without people, and the humanity of each and every one of our employees carries great significance in the building of relationships of mutual trust with our customers. This culture of cherishing humanity has spanned the ages, and is one of the core values that makes SHINANOA who we are today. Human relations are the birthplace of business opportunity, and I feel that this is one of our key strengths.

Maximizing content over profit.

As we look toward 2048, 100 years since our founding, we have set forth a vision in which we aim to be a "10 billion yen company in 100 years”. To realize this goal, we need to forge relationships with even more customers. In addition to maintaining strong relationships with our existing customers through our honest business efforts, we have also been pouring our energy into increasing market share through new business development. And as Japan continues to witness a declining population, we plan to expand our business through mergers and acquisitions. SHINANOA currently has overseas offices in China and Indonesia, but if the opportunity presents itself, we plan to establish more offices in new countries.
What will be the key to our company’s continued growth and success in the future will not be pursuing the number itself in our goal of being a “10 billion yen company in 100 years”, but by being a “company that offers even better content to our customers”. We need to be a powerful company in terms of both business, and the work we do. We need to be a company with a vibrant atmosphere where people love to work. We are working tirelessly to realize this future. Helping customers solve their issues as a specialist coating trading company while striving to build a business rich in content will continue to be the mission of our company. We never sit still, and will continue to pursue new challenges.
